WALTHAM FOREST LOCAL PLAN PART 2: INSPECTOR’S REPORT
In accordance with The Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012, Section 25, I am writing to notify you that the Council has been issued with the Inspector’s Final Report on the examination of Waltham Forest Local Plan Part 2: Site Allocations. The report sets out his findings, focusing on whether the Plan is ‘sound’ and is legally compliant.
I am pleased to update you that the Inspector’s report concludes that the Plan “provides an appropriate basis for the planning of the Borough, provided that a number of main modifications (MMs) are made to it”. The Council formally requested that such modifications be recommended by the Inspector upon submission of the Plan for examination.
The Inspector’s issuing of the report formally concludes the examination and provides the basis for the Council to take steps to adopt Local Plan Part 2 (as modified) as part of the Borough’s development plan.

Next Steps
The Council intends to present the Plan at a meeting of full Council this summer for consideration for adoption. Adoption of the Plan must be made by a resolution of the full Council.
